Uniform Resource Locator

Uniform Resource Locator or, URL, is a technical term that, for a general, non-technical audience of internet users, simply means "the web address that starts off with 'http://...'". In other words, for most people who are not directly involved in web development or the administration of computer networks, URL means, simply, "web address."
